Quick Getaway

To help me forget about the two upcoming weekends I'll lose to work, Jeff and I decided early last week to book an overnight trip to Palm Springs. We spent all day Saturday lounging. Lounging by the pool, in the pool, in the hot tub, in the hotel room, lounging. It was awesome.

My family was/is always the type to take a vacation where you did things. You got up early and stayed out late doing things, because who wants to stare at the inside of a hotel room? Well, me, sometimes. That's who.

I think I'll always be an activity packed vaca kind of girl, but this was certainly nice too.

Smith

And Annabel!

Lord Smithington, Duke of Bundy and Lady Annabel have been with us for just over a week and we are so in love with them. Smith is an uber-confident playful little guy and Annabel is a true lady in every sense of the word.  We are so smitten with our new darling kittens!

Animalistic!

It's official. We are in hyper-drive at work. This is the most exciting and fast-paced time of our season and we are full steam ahead until early August. Carli and I went to Fresno two weeks ago and I did something kind of out of character. I. got. a. feather. stapled. in. my. hair. It's weird and it's trendy and I'm not entirely sure I love it, but I have it and it's summer and it's fun and in that sense I guess it's ok. I'm very VERY excited about my plans for this weekend. We are starting our kitty hunt! Jeff, Tim (my brother) and I, after much consideration, have decided to add a fourth to our household. We are headed out to the local pet supply stores, which host pet adoptions, to find our perfect furry new roommate. Please wish us luck!
