The Amazon Kindle first generation suits me just fine. I'm not a fancy tech kind of girl. I've resisted e-readers as long as I have for a reason. I like to hold books. However, after several flights with precious carry-on space being eaten up by a 7x5x2 inch block of paper I'm well ready to reconsider. Also, we have a hideous overflowing bookcase at home and I'm hesitant to add even one more paperback to that eyesore lest it all come crashing down on me. No, thank you. Kindle please!

$48 is a TON to spend on eyeshadow, but wait! Look at all the colors and all so perfect and soooo many! 12 to be exact. Hold on a minute, it comes with a brush?! And is that primer thrown in for free as well? Well, that's practically a steal! What? It is. Ok, so it's a little extravagant and nothing I'd probably ever buy for myself, but holiday gift giving is all about buying ridiculous things for others. Right? My best friend has this palette, so naturally I want it too. Speaking of best friends...*ahem*...Jessica....hi, I love you.

I know next to nothing about taking pictures which is why a few years back I went out and spent $800 on a Nikon D80. Smartest decision I've ever made (not). But it could be. Of all photography, I'm most drawn to faces. Crisp pretty skin, eyes, lips, ears, while all the background is a blurry haze (bokeh?). I played with a friend's camera recently and he told me this is THE length of lens I need and that he rarely takes the lens off his camera body. I could have fun with this and may start walking around with a cool kids camera strapped around my neck like the necks of those I so admire. That last sentence sounds weird.
Lastly (for now):

Thanks for the shout out :) I do agree you kinda need the Naked palette, I think you'll love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd p.s. the Kindle is also inching its way up my list too, it'll just take up so much less space in my purse everyday.
I want some new lens, too!

Things I like about this post: eReaders and 50mm lenses. Things I don't like: Kindle and Nikon. You're on notice, Lovett. Of course, you already knew that.
ReplyDeleteYep, I know it...
