Jeff and I decided to skip town for a couple of days for some maxin' and relaxin' down South. We'd never been to San Diego together and this week proved perfect for our little escapade.

Jeff and I had a fantastic time in San Diego and made it back to L.A. in two hours flat. We then proceeded to spend the next twelve hours watching Dexter: Season 5. Quality time, I tell ya. I have four glorious days left in my hiatus, then back to work come Tuesday. Any plans for Labor Day? Monday is my little bro's birthday so we hope to do something special for him. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. I miss San Diego so badly! I just want to go sit on the beach--lived mere blocks from it and regret not going more.

It really is! We took your recommendation, actually, and ended up staying at The Dana :) It's definitely a family resort, but Jeff and I still had a nice stay. We booked their summer special which entitled us to a $50 food credit so we dined at The Firefly onsite and ordered room service for breakfast one morning. There is nothing more luxe than room service :)
