San Diego: A Post in Pictures

Jeff and I decided to skip town for a couple of days for some maxin' and relaxin' down South. We'd never been to San Diego together and this week proved perfect for our little escapade.

My handsome boyfriend in Old Town.

You see that white paper bag? Filled with the most delicious taffy know to man.

Woop woop for Taco Tuesday!
Seriously, these tortillas hit the spot every right way!
The hotel had it's own marina.

Point Loma Tide Pools
The tide was high, so no tiny creatures were spotted, but we still had an amazing adventure. Speaking of...

You see the part of the cliff sticking furthest out? That's where I was nearly taken by a wave. I'm not kidding. That ish was scary, but so exhilarating!
I'm alive!

How cool is the marbling in the sand?!
Where we spent our second night meandering. Full disclosure: We ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory and guess what? It was DELICIOUS. No chain hating here.

Jeff and I had a fantastic time in San Diego and made it back to L.A. in two hours flat. We then proceeded to spend the next twelve hours watching Dexter: Season 5. Quality time, I tell ya. I have four glorious days left in my hiatus, then back to work come Tuesday. Any plans for Labor Day? Monday is my little bro's birthday so we hope to do something special for him. Have fun and please be safe!

  1. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. I miss San Diego so badly! I just want to go sit on the beach--lived mere blocks from it and regret not going more.
Where did you end up staying?

  2. It really is! We took your recommendation, actually, and ended up staying at The Dana :) It's definitely a family resort, but Jeff and I still had a nice stay. We booked their summer special which entitled us to a $50 food credit so we dined at The Firefly onsite and ordered room service for breakfast one morning. There is nothing more luxe than room service :)
